The dates for the 2012 Qld Cup are as below
Friday, 28th September 2012 (11am to 11pm)
Saturday, 29 September 2012 (9am to 11pm)
Sunday, 30 September 2012 (9am to 11pm)
Monday, 1 October 2012 (9am to 7pm) (Queens Birthday)

  • QLD CUP
  • There are two divisions which are Mens and Womens
  • There are two categories which are City and Country
  • The Mens Teams are capped at 16 Teams. All teams play each other. Top four team go into semi finals (1 v 4, 2 v 3), winners to Qld Cup final.
  • The Womens Teams are capped at 12 Teams.. All teams play each other. Top four team go into semi finals (1 v 4, 2 v 3), winners to Qld Cup final.
  • ONLY one team per association
  • Nominations close on the 30th June 2012. (all nominations MUST be accompanied with PAYMENT)
  • We do have commiments to the venue and will allocate combined teams to fill the draw (eg Qld Residents)
  • The Qld All Stars (Junior players over 15 years of age, as selected by the Qld Cup Committee) will always be the first team entered.

WE are always looking at developing the sport of eight ball in Queensland.

Teams from both the City and Country areas (as defined by the Qld Cup Committee) are eligible for the Qld Cup Finals. Only the teams from the Country areas are eligible for the Qld Country Cup Finals (excluded any teams in the Qld Cup Finals)

The QLD Cup: Friday Afternoon Singles $20 (Nominate or Walk in)

  • Friday 11th Nov 2011
  • Double Elimination (winners Best of 7, losers Best of 5)
  • Time Limit (7 Frames = 56 minutes, 5 Frames = 40 minutes)
  • Total Players 64
  • 1pm Comps 1,2,3,4 (8 Players per Comp) (Winners to Top 16)
  • 3pm Comps 5,6,7,8 (8 Players per Comp) (Winners to Top 16)
  • Winners of the Comps 1 to 8 go into the TOP 16

  • Winners of the Comps 9 to 16 go into the TOP 16

The QLD Cup: Saturday Night TOP 16 Final

  • Saturday 12th Nov 2011
  • Single Elimination (Best of 7)
  • Time Limit (7 Frames = 56 minutes)
  • 7pm Top 16 FINAL
  • 7pm other singles comps will be on for all players to play in

 

The QLD Cup: Open Teams $150 ($25 per Player)

  • Sat 12th and Sun 13th, November 2011
  • Table will be traditional eight ball tables
  • 6 players per team
  • Player 1 "State" or A Grade
  • Player 2 "State" or A Grade
  • Player 3 will be A Grade
  • Player 4 will be A Grade
  • Player 5 will be B Grade
  • Player 6 will be B Grade

The QLD Cup: Womens Teams $100 ($25 per Player)

  • Sat 12th and Sun 13th, November 2011
  • Tables will be coin opp pub style table
  • 4 players per team
  • Player 1"State" or A Grade
  • Player 2 "State" or A Grade
  • Player 3 will be A Grade
  • Player 4 will be *B Grade

Definitions:

  • State Players are any Male person that have rep'd for any State since 2000 (above 40%)
  • State Players are any Female person that have rep'd for any State since 2000 (above 40%)
  • A Grade is any person playing A Grade Fixtures
  • B Grade is any person playing B Grade Fixtures
  • or any person graded from their zone city country event
  • * Associations playing a open competition:
  • * A Grade will be players above 60%
  • * B Grade will be players below 60%

Players, Reserves and Managers:

  • Team Sheets are PRE-PRINTED with all the players names on
  • If there is a Reserve you will have to cross out a name and write a name in
  • The Reserve can only play their Grade
  • Open = Male and Female
  • Womens = Female
  • Players are Graded by the Qld Cup Committee and are final!

Team Nomination and Payment:
